ABOUT
Travis Kurowski is co-editor of Literary Publishing in the Twenty-First Century and editor of Paper Dreams: Writers and Editors on the American Literary Magazine, winner of the Independent Publisher Book Award Gold Medal and recipient of a Foreword IndieFab Honorable Mention. He is also the author of a chapbook, The Location of Failure.
His writing appears in North American Review, Creative Nonfiction, Mississippi Review, TriQuarterly, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. He served as the Literary MagNet columnist for Poets & Writers and was co-founding editor of Story, winner of the CLMP Firecracker Award for Best Debut. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Association of Writers and Writing Programs, where he currently serves as Board Chair. He earned a doctorate in English from the Center for Writers at the University of Southern Mississippi. Born in Oregon, Travis is a Professor of Creative Writing and Literary Studies at York College of Pennsylvania.
